Breaking Ground
On a whim, during a discussion with a friend, I've made this blog. I previously had no desire to blog as I'm not a real diary person. But who knows, this might be a little fun to do. Let's see, a quick "about me" - I'm a single woman living in Washington, DC on the cusp of my 30th birthday. I have had a handful of relationships, most of which I'd rather forget or that I actually do forget about but rue remembering later. I'm a glorified law clerk; as of today I'm waiting for my bar results. Hopefully that won't be a nasty birthday gift in mid-November. I like ballroom dancing, good food, and playing computer games; and lately I've been addicted to Craig's List (http://washingtondc.craigslist.org). The personals are funny, but at the same time, many are revolting and dim my outlook on humanity. Politically, I'm pretty neutral but on some incendiary topics I fall to the right, and on others I fall on the left. Morally, I'm fairly conservative. Bet that'll make some people exit stage left... heh. So the life and times of me is what you'll get... hope we can agree to disagree and continue enjoying the ride. Thankyaverymuch! 2006 Postscript: I'm largely over Craig's List for the reasons stated above, especially since it's at least ten times worse now that I live in New York. I use it for kicks every now and again, but that addiction is happily over. CL is at its best when you aren't shopping for quality people. I bought my bike and some bike accessories on it, I found a soccer team on it, I have priced out housing, I sold my furniture. I found occasional activity partners, but when seeking a real investment... well, you must be anointed to get it to work if you want something deeper than the endless search for a piece of ass. Anyway, it is, thankfully, no longer a significant factor in my entertainment.
