Of Laundry and Lawyers

My lazy ass is doing laundry. And I want to go to sleep... Maybe I can catch a nap while the stuff is in the dryer... but that means I likely won't wake up. Today was a long day and filled with too many people that don't respect other people's time. Billables were in the toilet because of interviewing. We do some LONG interviews... And then I spent some time organizing that file for that custody case. I needed to get familiar with it because we will have to prepare and argue it soon. Plus discovery needs to be done and quickly. Sigh... it makes you wonder what the hell the previous attorney was doing on this case. This is not the first case that I've gotten that was in this rotten shape (in terms of organization and meeting deadlines). Can I get a WTF? Tomorrow will be better because I'm more organized and have the tasks laid out better for myself. Hopefully I'll be able to get a really good amount done before I go get my ass kicked in soccer. Maybe I'll get lucky and they'll postpone/cancel the game due to rain. But that's never been my luck! Anyway, that's the big reason I'm doing laundry.... need to clean the uniform so I don't play the game wearing the same rank shirt.
