Sweet Mother of God, It's Cold.

Since it was nice and sunny out and I didn't have to work today, I decided to go ride my bike (after I woke up late - 1:30!!). I strapped up and hit the Mount Vernon trail, and for the most part I was fine. Except my hands.... ow!! They almost fell off, it was so cold. I had to stop a couple of times just to warm them up. I hadn't bought any gloves for them, and I had a thin set of latex gloves (for changing gear) in my little wedge pack. But wow.... wow, it got very cold. I think the temperature dropped somewhere around Old Town because it was noticeably warmer and easier on my hands near Washington. Anyway, I managed to clock about 20 miles today, which wasn't so bad considering that I haven't really done much spinning since I've been working like a dog lately. This ride was really good for me... did a lot to help ease the amount of congestion I'd been feeling lately. I may ride all the way down to Mount Vernon tomorrow... but with better gloves.
