Dirty Pool

The last few weeks have been hellacious on my body. I've been doing the uber-late thing at least twice a week, coming home around midnight or later. Tonight I got home shortly before 2am. There has been an administrative hearing going on in one of the jurisdictions for one of our clients, and it's been a real energy drain. As a result of a politically motivated investigation, our client got the axe and is now fighting for their job. Tonight, an elected official shows up to not-so-subtly exert undue influence on the administrative body adjudicating the case. WTF!! This may be a true kangaroo court. It's incredible. I'm so exhausted. But this ordeal will be over soon...
