Lazy Saturdays and Looming Storms

So here we are, waiting for Hurricane Frances to hit our area. But she has slowed down to a snail's pace and is delaying the obvious. The eye wall has hit land near West Palm Beach about an hour or two ago, and yet the stupid thing just won't move. Rather, she's not moving fast enough. This seriously puts my flight on Monday in jeopardy. Move, bitch! Damn. The brunt of the storm has yet to hit us, and the weather was mild most of the day. A neighbor threw a birthday party for their 1-year-old. We went over there, and my brother brought his 1-year-old (who is an absolute sweetie - He smiles with such ease and is a pleasure to be around). No massive crying from any of the children there, and it was nice. Yet someone else there has to ask when I'm going to have one of those [children]. I play like I'm hard of hearing. "Huh?" "Eh?" :pppp We then went over to my aunt's - she broke her ankle last night, and we spent some time with her. Mom and I bought some crab legs at $5.99/lb from the supermarket and had them steamed with some Old Bay (and man, was THAT good). Beats Red Lobster twelve ways to Sunday. And we got to pick out which legs we wanted... yum. And then I watched either the golf channel, the weather channel, or the US Open with my dad. A nice, lazy Saturday despite the looming storm. Western Florida freaking rocks. Now if I can get out of here on time on Monday, that would make for a decent weekend... :)
