One Foot In Front of the Other

That's how progress begins - you just move forward, one step at a time. I started looking for jobs again today. The old gf that parted ways with me over some silliness had a good point when she was reminding me of what it was that I wanted. Now that I feel strong enough to will my "feet" to start moving forward, I feel more positive. So I'm going to send out some résumés again. I noticed that my fear of the idea of moving out of this area also subsided. I mean, why not apply for a job in the state where I'm (hopefully) barred? I'll still waive into DC (if possible), as that is the gateway to reciprocity with states that do not have reciprocity with New York. I have options, even if it's just temping. Temping makes good money, but I'm better than that - temping is usually a document bitch job. I can do document bitch, but I'd rather be learning the whole of my craft. I'm still kind of congested and blew off soccer tonight. Soccer is a different kind of workout than biking, much more exhaustive. I'm really not ready for soccer to kick my ass this week - I'd be hacking up a lung out there. Plus, there was some confusion as to a client meeting this evening that conflicted with soccer. I wasn't prepared to go play, anyway. But next week, come hell or high water, I'm going to play. I'm working on buying a bike trainer off CL, for evenings and the upcoming winter. I might get one of those little computers to compute speed and mileage, too. Progress... yes, progress is good.
