Spoiled

I am, a little. After spending time in Korea and enduring quite possibly the coldest of cold weather outside of Siberia, I moved to the South and got spoiled on the mild winters. I'm a hothouse flower - I'll take hot over cold anyday, because cold is just too bitter! I'm usually chilly when people are comfortable. I'm just cool like that! ;) But now - man, it's flippin' cold again. This is a serious thing!! And snow up here in New York - they mean business!! Thankfully, we have not gotten a truly bad storm...yet. Parts of the area may have, but not here, so far. We had a few inches on Sunday but the streets cleaned up pretty nicely and easily. But tonight... brr! At least up here they are really ready, and fewer people freak out in the snow. I just need to acclimatize myself... but wah, I don't wanna!! Oh well, I have 2 court appearances in the morning. Whee, nice billing!! Should be good. I'm going to break my usual rule about wearing skirted suits to court. Funny how necessity works, eh? Peace.

  • We had our first snowfall in Washington. The sun is out, it's cold, and the snow is very pretty. Talk to me again in February.

  • I have gotten a little jaded by all the snow we keep seeing out here in the west (now in Cheyenne, Wyoming, I think?). Someone will say that the high is 13. I don't notice unless I am locked out of the warm van...

I am leary of all of the walking to and from the metro to the theatre, though...it's the time spent *in* it that may get me.

    Bundle up!

  • I've got a fuzzy hat and scarf, and some gloves. It hasn't been so bad that I would consider them my best friends, but like Cube said... talk to me again in February!!

  • I love the cold! I really need to move somewhere that I can see snow more often. I'm thinking Breckinridge or Vail.
