The Dick Cheney School of Diplomacy

Go fuck yourself. I don't know what it is about that little invective, but I have to laugh when I hear it. Especially from one of the partners - he's funny, smart, and clearly subscribes to the Dick Cheney school of diplomacy. When they won't be reasonable... his modus operandi is to speak reason, and if you don't like it, go fuck yourself. We aren't doing X, Y or Z because it isn't relevant or exceeds the scope of what we're doing. He can go fuck himself. tee hee. I can't help but get a little giggle. NO, he doesn't actually SAY that to them. Only to us, when discussing strategy. I don't know why this is so funny. I mean, for myself, I don't subscribe to that school. At least, not until I reach my wits' end. I'm a straight shooter and I don't like to play games. But at the same time, I have little patience for stupidity. I suppose I may take a page or two from that school, but I don't wish to get there so quickly. I believe in being somewhat accommodating, as you can usually catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. But in the meanwhile, I'll enjoy the silly little tickle that hearing him say that brings.
