Swoon
The date went well. Dinner was nice, but the company was nicer. :) We went to KumGangSan, a Korean and Japanese place. We had sashimi as well as authentic Korean food - kalbi (barbecued beef short ribs), and barbecued shrimp. It's marinated in a Korean sauce. It was a cultural experience, as he had never had the kalbi before and I got to show him how it's eaten. There was also a wide range of appetizers, ranging from several different kinds of kimchee, beans, spinach, fish, apples with cream... it was just a great meal. They didn't have much for dessert, just ice cream. But we made the most of it. I got a shot of Tia Maria with mine, and let him taste it (he never had Tia Maria either). Tia Maria is a Jamaican liquer that is similar to Kahlua. Both Tia and Kahlua are coffee liquers, but Tia has an almond flavoring to it that makes it smoother and sweeter. And it goes great with ice cream. :) We rode the train home. I got off before he did because my stop is not at the end of the line, and his car was at the end of the line. But it was a nice ride - he is just sweet and down to earth. I really enjoy talking to him, and I feel like I can connect with him. He's a good man, and has lots of integrity. He has character. I like that a lot. I can't wait to see him again.
